Still, that doesn’t stop each generation from dreaming about fame, and it won’t stop you from doing the same in the year 2019 and beyond. But how do you get there? There are a lot of paths to fame, but they aren’t all worth taking, and some will take longer than others, even if they seem to make sense at first glance.

If you haven’t figured out what your idea of success looks like, you might find yourself losing motivation mid-way through your quest for fame. Success isn’t just about having more followers or money in your bank account—it’s about feeling fulfilled on a personal level. Write down a few goals that would make you feel successful and get excited about achieving them. Don’t forget to include details like being able to support yourself financially and living in a place where you feel at home. These things are often just as important as getting famous!
Write down all your ideas
Before you put pen to paper, have a list of ideas. It doesn’t matter how crazy or silly they are; just start writing. Don’t think about whether your story is going in the right direction or if you’re moving too fast or too slow—just start writing. Keeping a steady stream of ideas coming will help you feel less stressed as your story develops and it will also help you identify opportunities that might not have occurred to you before.
Work hard
Unless you’re a teenage singing sensation, chances are your fame will be largely self-made. In other words, it won’t just fall into your lap. Hard work and determination will get you there (though being in the right place at the right time can’t hurt).

Getting comfortable with failure is an important part of getting ahead (and often a lot more fun than sticking with something that isn’t working). Sure, now and then a story will break about someone who tried doing something over and over again until they made it big—but that’s rare. Far more common are stories about people who are happy with what they were able to accomplish.
Stay happy with who you are
It’s a simple equation. If you’re happy with who you are and where you are in life, fame will come. And if you aren’t, then fame will just be another craved addition to an already unhappy life. So look inside yourself, evaluate your situation and see what would need to change for that happiness factor of yours to go up. It could be as simple as making a friend or spending more time with your family – don’t let fame come before happiness.
